Abstract

The edited volume Family and Jihadism. A Socio-Anthropological Approach to the French Experience by Jerôme Ferret and Farhad Khosrokhovar touches an important topic: the impact of the family and family ties in terms of jihadist radicalization. This anthology is a timely and important work based on interdisciplinary contributions related to the jihadist radicalization of young European adults with ties to North Africa. Its insights are useful for both governmental and non-governmental approaches related to the prevention of violent extremism (PVE) within Europe and beyond.
