Editorial welcome

Dear Reader,

On behalf of the Editorial Board, welcome to the official website of the Journal of Central and Eastern European African Studies (JCEAS). The Journal was launched in 2021 by the Africa Research Institute of the Doctoral School for Safety and Security Sciences at the Óbuda University with the aim of driving the focus to Africa from Central and Eastern Europe. Africa is indisputably a vast and diverse continent with an ever-changing set of challenges and possibilities. In this quest of ours, our goal is to gather knowledge, raise awareness and feed information to decision makers, the academia as well as to the growing number of Africa-enthusiasts with a better, deeper, and more comprehensive understanding of our neighbouring continent. In this mission, we plan to come out with four issues of JCEAS each year, written by scholars, practitioners and professionals of various backgrounds involved in a wide spectrum of areas in connection with Africa. We truly hope that our research papers can serve as a knowledge centre and a database with high-quality research studies meeting the highest standards of scientific requirements and excellence. This is one of the reasons why our Editorial Board and “Pool of Reviewers'' come from all over the world representing different educational and professional experiences as well as diverse approaches and ideals regarding the African continent.
